our state-of-the-art dry room

SOLiTHOR has secured  €1.6 million  funding  from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the SALKturbo plan, to create a stronger Limburg economy. The Intellibat proposal, a joint initiative between Solithor, imec and Hasselt University was submitted in January 2023 with the funding now authorised and approved.

With its newly commissioned eco dry room, built by Munters, a global leader in climate solutions for mission-critical processes, SOLiTHOR will invest in 25 state of the art machines for solid-state lithium battery R&D, manufacturing and testing at its new site in Sint-Truiden, Flanders, Belgium.  The work will include upscaling processes, building electrodes and the volume production and testing of pouch cells for clients and partners worldwide.

The criteria of the ‘Sustainable Flanders’ projects were "renewable energy" or "sustainable multimodal urban mobility."
