SOLiTHOR has joined Upcell Alliance, a non-profit organisation whose aim is to strengthen co-operation and innovation in the European battery value chain for energy storage.  By collaborating with companies such as SOLiTHOR who is developing a breakthrough, rechargeable all-solid-state lithium battery to unlock barriers to electrification across high-value mobility segments, Upcell Alliance is able to contribute to the development of a robust European ecosystem leading to the very latest technological solutions in the battery industry. 

Because of SOLiTHOR’s world leading achievements in the development and commercialisation of safe, clean and environmentally friendly all-solid-state lithium metal battery technology, its impact on being part of the Upcell Alliance platform will be to contribute hugely to the decarbonisation of transport. It will contribute to the creation of a full EU battery value chain, whilst reducing Europe’s dependence on outside energy sources.  It will help secure the logistical supply of all-solid-state lithium batteries within the EU. It has a Centre of Excellence for all-solid-state lithium technology which is accessible to third parties and has a highly skilled workforce to draw from.  It also has many partners in the battery industry whose expertise can be utilised.
